What VidPickr is for
VidPickr is a download tool. Its primary audience is creators who want to retrieve copies of videos they have uploaded themselves — for archiving, repurposing, editing, or cross-posting to other platforms. It is also useful for any other use that falls within copyright law in your jurisdiction: content you have written permission to download, content licensed under Creative Commons or similar terms, content in the public domain, and uses that qualify as fair use, fair dealing, or the equivalent.
Using VidPickr means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Your responsibility
You are the one who decides what to download. You are also the one responsible for making sure you have the right to do so. Specifically:
- You confirm that, for every video you download, you either own the content, have explicit permission to download it, or your use falls under a clear copyright exception in your jurisdiction.
- You agree not to use VidPickr to download content you do not have rights to in a way that violates the original creator’s copyright or the source platform’s terms of service.
- You take full responsibility for any consequences of downloads you initiate. We do not review or pre-approve what you do with the tool.
Acceptable use
The following uses are explicitly within the spirit of the service:
- Downloading your own uploads — including the multi-language audio tracks, subtitles, and clipped ranges of videos you produced.
- Downloading content for personal offline viewing where local copyright law permits it (varies by country).
- Educational use covered by fair use, fair dealing, or local statutory exceptions — classroom screening, academic research, criticism, commentary, parody.
- Accessibility uses — downloading captions or audio tracks to make content usable for someone with a disability.
Prohibited use
You may not use VidPickr to:
- Download content you do not own or have permission to use, in a way that infringes copyright. Re-uploading someone else’s work to another platform without permission is the clearest example.
- Bypass DRM, paywalls, or technical access controls on content not available to the public.
- Run automated mass scraping against any source platform in a way that would breach that platform’s terms of service or robots policy.
- Use the service to harass, defame, or harm anyone, or to distribute illegal content.
- Resell or redistribute access to VidPickr without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is being used in a prohibited way.
Accounts and payments
Free use does not require an account. Plus and Pro tiers do. You agree to keep your password reasonably secure and to let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically on the cycle you chose at signup (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid features until then.
We offer a refund within seven days of the initial purchase if you have not used the paid features in a meaningful way. After that window, refunds are discretionary. Email hello@vidpickr.com and we will work it out.
Intellectual property
The VidPickr application, its design, branding, written content, and codebase are ours. The content you download through VidPickr belongs to whoever originally created it — we make no claim to it, and the act of using VidPickr to download it does not transfer any rights to us.
Disclaimers
VidPickr is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep the service running and the downloads working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific download speeds, or that every video on every source platform will always be downloadable. Source platforms change their internals; we adapt as fast as practical, but downtime happens.
We are not responsible for the content you download or what you do with it. The legal exposure of any specific download is yours to assess.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of VidPickr is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
You can stop using VidPickr at any time and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate access for prohibited use, non-payment, or any conduct that puts the service or its users at risk — usually with notice and a chance to fix it, immediately when the circumstances demand.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes — new restrictions, changes to fees, anything that meaningfully shifts the deal — will be announced by email to active account holders before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. Any dispute that we cannot work out by talking will be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye, except where local consumer protection law gives you a non-waivable right to your local courts.
